The Extraordinary Ordinary - (10 minute writing prompt)

305. Sometimes the extraordinary can happen during the most ordinary of tasks. Describe your experience. 

At this very moment, I am sitting outside in my backyard and the sun is shining down on me. I looked up to the sky and saw a tiny bird in the distance. As the little bird flew over my head I noticed it was flapping it's little wings frantic and fast. I smiled as I watched it fly further away from me. 

Shortly afterward, I saw two more birds flying in the sky. I watched them and smiled, because I enjoy watching birds and I am thankful for more than my own existence on this earth. I am thankful for the birds. I am grateful for the rays of sunlight. I am happy just sitting in my backyard, alone, bird watching. 

I never dreamed I would come to this point in my life where I could find grace in life outside of my own.

I will never forget this moment.
